New Vintech RCAM with new product structure

On 15 March 2007 the Vintech RCAM CAD/CAM system was commenced.

As it is up to now, every license allows performing true shape nesting and NC programming of unlimited number of machines for oxy-fuel, plasma and laser cutting – for example, as many as are the available ones in the enterprise.
Now and in the future the systems will include the all feasible functionality. This solution is motivated by our aim to enable the user to use, when it is necessary, the maximum capabilities of the software.

The new system is offered in two standard releases:

• Vintech RCAM - for true shape nesting and programming of vertical heat cutting,

• Vintech RCAM-Pro - for true shape nesting and programming of vertical and bevel heat cutting. Vintech RCAM-Pro takes the place of Vintech RASKROY BC system that has been offered until now and is functionally expanded version of Vintech RCAM.

The machines manufacturers and Vintech dealers will have the possibility to suit their heat cutting machines with the OEM versions Vintech RCAM OEM and Vintech RCAM-Pro OEM.

The system development was performed in several directions:

• Extending the functionality, mostly in developing the methods for continuous and common cutting. General improvement of the reliability,

• Providing opportunity for work with Unicode in the interface and the database, which allows localization in eastern languages,

• Using new graphic library with semi-transparent representations.

The new features in Vintech RCAM are:

• Advanced functionality for interactive common nesting.

• Tools for interactive removal of duplicated paths, resulted in the creation of paths for common cutting.

• Lead-in of type “line-round”, which can be placed interactively, as well as automatically.

• Component of type Chain-cut for connecting end point with start point of two paths. This component provides easy creation of paths for continuous cutting and for chain-cuts in the corners. It is a powerful solution of a group of tasks in the bevel cutting technology.

• Extended resources for marking with texts and technological symbols.

In Vintech RCAM-Pro are implemented:

• Tool for interactive removal of paths for vertical cutting that lie under these for bevel cutting.

• Tool defining chain-cuts on custom part of the contour. The function enables a contour or part of a contour to be cut in two or more chain-cuts. This solution takes place mostly in the oxy-fuel cutting of thick-sided self-hardening steel.

• Possibility for defining smooth chain-cut between two bevel paths on a single contour, without using lead-out and lead-in.

• Possibility for bevel cutting with head that performs rotation around the X and Y axes. The absence of rotation around the Z axis enables the cutting of spiral like contours having no electricity / gas collector in the cutting head.

The development of the system in 2007 will proceed in several directions:

• Plate multiplicity and nesting variants.

• Changing the model and methods for creating route.

• Optimizing the user interface and providing floating tool panels, instead of the existing static ones.

With the commencement of Vintech RCAM the users will be able to sign one year subscription contract for after-warranty support, observing the condition for unbroken warranty. The contract provides consulting by phone, e-mail, skype and trough the web, and also receiving the updates to the last current versions of the system.

The customers who want to make system updates in longer periods of time will have the possibility to do this using the old way – by one-time update to the current version.
