Definitions for bevels and qualities

The bevel, allowance and quality in Vintech RCAM-Pro create surfaces on the part's side faces.

According to the type of the bending head the following types of bevels are being created:

  • Single,
  • Three-torch.

The bevel profile is defined in the plane normal to the contour and is represented as a line, result of the intersection of the beveled surface with the top surface of the plate.

The Quality is a property of part of a contour, for which the machine switches the cutting mode in motion. Every Quality is visualized with a different color.

Vintech RCAM-Pro creates bevels, allowances and qualities on outer and inner countours, while:

  • allows the creation of many singular bevels, allowances and qualities on one contour,
  • allows elongation or shortening of a bevel, allowance and quality
  • adds additional "envelope" for every bevel and allowance, to preserve the neighboring parts from damage,
  • automatically recalculates the parameters of the bevels and the envelopes for mirror placement of a part.
