Can Vintech RCAM be used for textile nesting?
Yes, but it is not recommended.
The optimal nesting of metal parts differs significantly from the optimal nesting of textile patterns. The metal parts permit and require nesting in the openings of the already nested parts and the nesting insertion levels are unbounded.
In the textile patterns nesting such task does not exist. The tasks concerned with textures and adjusting patterns in the textile patterns nesting are slightly familiar in the scope of metal plate nesting.
The thermal cutting technology used for metals and the textile cutting have a little in common.
That is why the universal usage of a CAD/CAM system for true shape nesting in quite different fields is possible but not recommended.
