Why was the name changed to Vintech RCAM?

Since 2007 VINTECH Ltd. have been selling their CAD/CAM systems family for true shape nesting and NC programming as Vintech RCAM.

Earlier the software was offered as Vintech RASKROY WL in Bulgaria and as Intech RASKROY WL in Russia and CIS.

The word RASKROY in the name described a single side of the system functionality. The system was associated above all with nesting - true shape, rectangular, guillotine, of bands, for textile, for metals and non metals, etc. Very often we had to "disappoint" the users, because the system cannot be used to nest everything.

Years ago the nesting softwares had technological capabilities, determined by the almost constant technological capabilities of the thermal cutting machines.

Nowadays, these thermal cutting machines are going through a period of explosively development and widespread usage:

• Commonly used are the high-velocity, precise laser and plasma processing.
• Processing chamfers and bevels using cutting with program controlled cutter's bending combined with new methods for Z-tracking.
• Combining piercing and beading with thermal cutting.
• Combining plasma cutting and drill boring technologies with automatic tool change from a magazine.
• Oxy-fuel cutting returns to life trough CNC machines with variable parallel head count and spacing.

In one contemporary and advanced CAD/CAM system for true shape nesting and NC programming, the scope of the tasks for true shape nesting is 10-20% of the whole one, and the main load is in the technology.

By changing the name to Vintech RCAM, we describe more precisely the purpose of the system: This is the CAD/CAM system of VINTECH for true shape nesting, for creation of operating technologies and for programming of CNC machines.
