Vintech RCAM-Lite v5

CAD/CAM system for true shape nesting, NC programming and documentation creating, a functionally reduced variant of Vintech RCAM.

Vintech RCAM-Lite is

  • a standalone, 32-bit, Microsoft® Windows (XP/Vista/7) / Linux based CAD/CAM system, with advanced user interface and unicode based multi language support,
  • feature-based model for true shape nesting using the following object types: part, described by its contours, path and path elements, route, plate and working frames.

Vintech RCAM-Lite v5 is intended for plasma and oxy-fuel cutting machines, for CNC routers, for medium and low production load with low degree of automation of programming.

Import parts geometry

Reads DXF, structured DXF and ESSI formats or builds models by built-in parametric macros for common shapes and paths

  • Vintech RCAM-Lite uses models of parts and multi-parts, created with CAD system or by built-in parametric macros. Extends every part with attributes: name, ref. no, order, product, quantity and etc.

  • The input geometry can be defined by lines, arcs and splines.

  • Identifies for every part: closed outer contour, inner contours, three groups of small holes, slots.

  • The system automatically filters and cleans overlap, crossings, mismatch of end points and other geometrical conflicts.

  • The input geometry can be of one or many parts. In case of many parts, Vintech RCAM-Lite imports the geometry as multi-part, preserving the mutual nesting position of every part.

Manages the nesting places - plate and frame

No practical restrictions on plates shape and size.

  • Vintech RCAM-Lite nests on plate with rectangular, or any shape.

  • Creates a frame for plate processing. Nests objects on the part of the plate, determined by current frame.

Nests objects interactively, in any sequence, with unbounded inclusion

Performs optimal tight nesting, with automatic on-line control against overlapping.

  • Manages quantities using job and the sequence of the currently nested parts using queue.

Provides interactive management of the processing technology

Provides flexibility in choosing when to create the cutting technology – before or after nesting

  • Vintech RCAM-Lite provides interactive creating of cutting paths and connects them with a route of rapid moves.

  • Determines the position of the in-out points of nesting objects providing control against overlapping.

  • Interactively builds and edits path elements at any time, as: lead -ins and lead-outs, bridges of type ”part-plate”, paths of chain cutting.

  • Provides interactive "drag" to change the place of in–out points and gaps, change of slope and sizes of lead-ins and lead-outs by snapping points.

  • Allows manipulating path segments,

  • Interactively creates complete or partial routes of the rapid moves,

  • Provides interactive modification and verification of a route at any time.

Automatically generates NC programs

Uses open source and configurable postprocessors to adapt the program to a specific machine.

  • Provides definition of a format and a structure of the NC program by the user.

  • Automatically transforms arcs into sequence of lines, if the radius is bigger than the set value.

Generates technological documents

Generates document of current project in HTML, DXF and PDF formats.

  • Creates a nesting map specification.

  • Provides viewing and direct printing of the created document.

Configuration

The standard configuration of the system includes a network-concurrent license of Vintech RCAM-Lite.

The number of machines, for which the system can be configured is unlimited.
